Situated in the middle of a suburb of Tokyo lays a house by the Japanese architect Keiji Ashizawa Surrounded by the trees and vegetation, the home stands as a great example of how to connect nature with city living.

His latest house is a wonderful example of the modern living in a harmony with traditions.  Around the house, you will notice a rich use of wood, which is a dominant material along with metal. This creates a nice balance and gave the house a bit of a loft look.

The house is furnished with a nice mix of vintage and contemporary pieces.  In the main hall,  you can find a pair of Barcelona chairs,vintage Japanese cabinet, tripod studio light lamp and the amazing Bang & Olufsen Beoplay Speaker.

From the architectural standpoint, I really love the look of the interior, with its high ceiling which enhances the spacious feel of the house and the glass panel wall,  heading to the garden.

Living in such house must be a joy!

Another instant love for me, this fabulous, large apartment is furnished with a huge selection of mid century modern classics along with some lovely modernist artworks.

You can find everything from famous Eames chairs, Noguchis coffee table to a beautiful gray Saarinens Womb chair here.  The whole place looks really great with that herringbone floor, natural color palette and it has artsy, distinguished and personal atmosphere.

This lovely loft apartment belongs to a couple of designer and architect, Nora & Adam. When they bought this 60 square meters large apartment, they did some major reconstructions as the place was originally divided into four rooms (hard to believe, right?).

The result is great and charming. I love the kitchen design and the light used. Living area looks unbelievably spacious and cozy for a such small interior, it is furnished with mid century furniture  and contains super cool pipe wall shelf!

I really dig these shots from the new catalogue of the Dutch brand DK Living.
Inspired by Scandinavian design, but with a very nice own personality, this new line really shines. The combination of black, gray and turquoise color is very nice too, really makes the atmosphere.

Such a calming atmosphere here, really love the tones used in this home.  Also the  selection of the furniture ( my favorite String Shelves :) is spot on. Design of the interior is very well thought out, consistent and creating impression of great coherence.

I just discovered this cute chair designed in 1967 by a cabinet maker Kaj Høffer Larsen for Hubert and Kitte Trojaborg, who at that time owned the company Hukit. I really like the styling of the photos and of course chair looks very nice and is aviable in many cool colors!

Frederik Lassen Hesseldahl is a graffiti artist, so no wonder he also decorated walls of his new Copenhagen apartment with his art (with a little help of his friend, who painted a cool looking black panther on the wall in the dining room).

The decorations and furniture are also very nice choices - and work well with the colorful wall paintings, Eames, Panton and other midcentury classics in beautiful color tones  adding the place very cheerful atmosphere.

Sylvie Rochon, owner of a decoration shop in Montreal did a great  job with styling her 1000 square-foot apartment. No doubt she have a great sense for decorating and finding great furniture and decorational  pieces that makes the place shine. Mid-century danish modern furniture,  bright colors, pop art,  this joyful bright apartment is really cute!
