On the pictures above is a rug collection called "Mangas" by Spanish brand GAB. Collection was designed by Patricia Urquiola and won Red Dot Design Award in 2010.
Collection contains rugs of unusual shapes, each features a striped patchwork of varied wool knits, also includes wonderful pouf ottomans. I love the patterns and color combinations, fresh and playful!
This is funny little idea - take some plywood IKEA "PRÄNT" boxes, paint insides with some nice pastel colors and connect them together, forming interesting shape with paper clasps - result is cool, cheap shelving unit that can be used to store your design items, books or whatever you want.
It must be destiny, I was in paper store today and bought handfull of exactly same paprer clasps /in many colors including the same that are used inside the boxes/ before I found this :)
Today let´s take a tour of a renovated Midcentury hose of artist and writer Douglas Coupland.
I like how the rooms in the house alternate from bright white do darker brown / gray tones, Coupland added lots of his own colorful artworks throughout the house, which added happyness and 60s playfulness to it.
You can find all of the MCM classics here - George Nelson´s bubble lamps, Dining table &butterfly stool from Noguchi, Eames La Chaise, dining chairs, Womb chair by Eero Saarinen.

Anothr scandinavian, interior, another amazing space. The whole place was completely redesigned by removing some walls and adding supporting steel beams to make it bigger and bright - I think that the result is briliant.
The whole flat is white, only wall decorations and details adding some nice color contrasts - like the Eames chair in lovely lime color, and wood pieces warming it up a little ( Jacobsen´s The 7 Chairs) Everythng feels very calm, cosily and clean.
You may saw many similar 60s pendants on ebay or flea markets everywhere, but the original one "SEMI" was designed by Claus Bonderup and Torsten Thorup in 1967 and won the industrial design competition at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture in Copenhagen in the same year.
Now it is aviable from GUBI, there are some nice color to choose from (my favorite probably be yellow and turqouise) and three sizes to choose from.

Jean-François is a Antiquarian and his passion for great vintage items is clearly visible in his apartment located near Cinquantenaire in Brussels.
His home serves also as a show room and I would find something for myself for sure!
On the pictures there are chairs and table by Jean Prouve, Krenit bowls, Artichoke pendant light by Poul Henningsen and many more.
Even I´m not friend of colored walls, it fits here very well and make it look

Håkan Swahn is the owner of the restaurant Aquavit, at 65 East 55th Street in New York. He moved to the New York in 1987 after attending the School and opened the restaurant Aquavit in 1987.
His 185 square meters big loft, located in 16th floor is full of Mid Century Modern Scandinavian Furniture, he also collects vintage Danish ice buckets designed by Jens Quistgaard. (There are few Stig Lindberg´s Spisa Rib pieces in the kitchen too!)

Work of Danish photographer Mikkel Adsbol is amazing. On the first two images is his 180 sqm studio, located in Copenhage - big bright loft with vintage industrial feeling, again only white with black colors and my favourite yellow-green as accent. Such a great workspace!

Today, I like to show you flat of Lotta Agaton. As you would expect from Swedish interior designer - it is just perfect! It is almost whole in the bright White palette with some black details, accompanied by the popping bright red. Again I would kill (almost) for a dining table like this, with Wegner´s wishbone chairs, and the fireplace - wish I have one!
Oh, by the way, it is for sale now here!

Here is another nice flat from Swedish real estate agency vasastans.located in Stockholm.

Im bit jaelous about the dining table - I have slightly bigger flat but don´t have the space for it!

I have known the room from the first photo for a long time but today I finally discovered the rest of this beautiful place. Dining room is highlight of this place - big window, floating cabinets, vintage chairs & table plus the art composition on the wall make it perfect.

Very nice interior full of "best of" mid century modern designs, there is almost everything, Eames surfboard table, rocking chair, walnut stool, Arne Jacobsen´s swan chair, Wegners´s wishbone chairs, Nagel candlesticks, and many other design icons, combined with great danish modern furniture.
All in all great work of interior designers Anna-Johanna Bonnier & Lena Widenfelt.
